I never thought Former Senator Alan Simpson, R - Wyoming, had it in him to be funny, but I've been humbled. He lets loose to drive home the message that going over the cliff is a bad option. Yes, Former Senator Simpson does the Gangnam Style dance! I have to admit, he does a pretty good job with it, despite having, to quote him from the video, a bad knee.
Simpson says that we must use all available media sources to get everyone, including younger voters, involved in the conversation. And the conversation is extremely important, not just for the sake of our economy, but also for the sake of our entire political process. If our politicians are willing to sacrifice the good of this nation to score political points, and I'm speaking mainly to Republicans here, who seem to be ignoring election results, then our system of governance is completely non-functional.
If Republicans care about ever having a say in our country's future again, they will respect the will of the people and let go of failed policies. If Alan Simpson is willing to go Gangnam Style in an effort at bipartisanship; then House Republicans can agree to tax cuts for the top two percent.
